Hello everyone! Hope you all had a great Christmas and are looking forward to see what God has planned this new year. We had our care group meeting with our church last night, which is just a group that meets once a month for dinner and fellowship at someone's house. It's the same group all year long, so we are getting to know people a little better. We look forward to these times of fellowship each month because we are always so blessed when we leave. Anyway, we were given some questions to think about and I wanted to share them with you.
1. What is something new that you want to do for someone else this year?
2. What is something new that God could do in you and through you this year?

Also I just wanted to share some things I want to do this year. First of all, I want to try and have some people over for dinner at least once a month just to fellowship and build relationships. Secondly, I want to try to call a friend once a week "just to talk". I am really bad at planning ahead when it comes to inviting people to our home, but I want to do better. Finally, I am going to read the bible through in 2 years or less. It is a chronological study bible, so there is a lot of extra information to read along with the bible. Maybe I will do it in less than two years, who knows. I'm not following a plan, bc you just read it like a book, from beginning to end.

Braelyn is trying to talk a lot more these days. She tries to say cup, cracker, thank you, no, bath, puzzle, and lots of other things I haven't been able to decifer yet. She is a really good eater and can use her spoon pretty good, sometimes :). She really likes watching Elmo's World on Sesame Street, Clifford (which she does try to say, oh, and she says "melmo" for elmo) pretty cute. And she gets excited when Wheel of Fortune comes on and she will try to say the letters like they do. She tries to mimic a lot of things we say and do. For example, after she drinks from her sippy cup sometimes she will set it down and say "ahhhhhh". Just bc she saw me do that one time. :) She is very observant.

On a random note....we are setting records here in Bristol. 10 straight days of temperatures below freezing!! I am enjoying the snowy scenery everywhere. I always say, if it's going to be cold, I at least want to see some snow. So, I guess it's been a good winter so far. I'm curious to see how much more snow we will get.

Braelyn is so grown up! I'm so happy that you're getting some snow too - it's cold here, but no snow. I'm not sure if SC people would do if it actually snow and stuck to the ground! I like those 2 questions that you posted too and keeping in touch with my friends is something I'm resolving to better with too. Like, Beth. I haven't talked to her since July! It's so weird. I'm going to do better too!
